Mary promised to heal Juan’s uncle, she made flowers grow
and when Juan Diego visited the bishop Mary appeared (in Juan’s Poncho) as a
brown skinned woman, in a pink robe and turquoise mantle, which was covered in
stars and edged in gold. She wore a black sash, indicating that she was
pregnant and she was surrounded by rays of light.
